A Visit To Botanical Garden Penang…

Took a trip there with my photographer buddies late last year.

I don’t know what I should write up for this. No idea at all… anyways, just some of the photos that I took during the visit. This trip was sort of impromptu. Nothing was greatly planned but still, we get to enjoy ourselves with the fresh air and some photo shoots. It was like a nature walk, lots of trees and flowers. Lots of people too as it was in the weekend.

Enough of meaningless talks… Enjoy the pictures. Comments are welcome, as usual…

Mean Machine 2008

Showcase of modified cars and as well as supercars! This will be the first segment and it shows only cars!

 

 

This segment is specially dedicated to Hello Kitty fans! This owner of the car is very creative in turning his car into a uniquely Hello Kitty Mobile! Have to see to believe.

Now, this segment will be none other than the beauty queens themselves!

OK, not a great deal of pictures because apparently, I need to have photograph pass to take pictures of them, which I don’t have. Lucky me, still able to snap a couple of pics and I need to thank these girls for their wonderful smiles and poses!

Next will be the models for products!

OK, photographing this girl was very hard. There were more than 20 – 30 photographers at one go just for 1 model. So, everybody was scrambling for the best angle. I manage to squeeze in, which you can see, not the best but nonetheless, I manage to participate as well. But as you can see as well, not much poses because the other photographers were getting a little bit rowdy at the end. She was feeling rather awkward at that time.

This next segment, same situation, but less rowdy. Light was a bit low at that time. She’s got a sweet face and nice dimple to accompany with the smile! Sweet~!

Little Penang Street Market October 2008

Another edition of the Little Penang Street Market that was held in October.

Baby Carry Fashion Show. First time ever that I’ve seen this kind of fashion show. Very entertaining. The moms and dads are doing all the work but let’s not forget about the babies! Some of them were so tired, they just… sleep!

Little Penang Street Market September 2008

We are already in the year 2009 and yet… this is just the September 2008 series of the Little Penang Street Market shoots that I can manage to post.

Let’s get it started already!

She’s a salsa dancer, very graceful and yet powerful! She’s got the move and definitely got the hips to salsa! You have gotta be there to see her moves. She will mesmerize you in all her moves and her partner is as equally great.

Even when she’s not making any salsa moves, she’s still hot!

She’s trying to get some audiences to participate in a short course on salsa dancing…

A guitar maestro, Sam!

I was in for a huge surprise on that edition of Little Penang Street Market because I am a fan of Paul Ponnudurai and never would I have imagine that he’s got a brother and he’s playing right in front of me! I knew then that Sam would be doing a great show for the audiences there and I wasn’t disappointed at all! Anyone who’s wondering who is Paul Ponnudurai, he’s currently based in Singapore and does plays in Harry’s Bar in Esplanade Singapore. I’ve been there a couple of years back and seen him play and I was hooked! Everytime that I make a trip to Singapore, I will always drop by Harry’s Bar and order a couple of pints of beer and will listen to his great songs. He sings Blues, Jazz and Country and what I loved most is the way that he “spoils” the song with his own rendition mix. You can catch some of his music in YouTube.

Back to Sam, he makes me rekindle my great memories when I was in Singapore. Thanks a billion Sam!

Model Shoot – Intan

Her name is Intan, and that’s the only thing that I know about her! She happens to be with another huge group of photographers who’s out for a shoot and I happened to know a friend there and… voila… here’s the only few photos that I’ve taken. Not much but I like the lighting at the moment.

Right… not much… A very brief session and never got a chance to talk to her but she’s great. Great smile!

Oh… and notice that I’ve put in watermarks. I’ve gotten few of my pictures here and as well as in my Flickr’s pictures were taken without permission.

If anyone wants to have my pictures for non-commercial usage, please let me know and I’ll be so gladly give you the full resolution and without watermark on it. Not putting blame on anyone or anything but pictures taken without permission, that’s sad.

But anyways, I am not looking for fame or anything, just that the one behind the creation should be given credits.

Little Penang Street Market August 2008

Right right… it’s already November but now only posted August’s picture! As I’ve said before, gotten lots of backlogs because of the wedding shoots during the month of September. Will post the wedding pictures soon. Will be looking for own domain as well to manage the WordPress page! Now busy looking for templates to built up a new page! Crossing my fingers for it to implement soon.

The amazing rubber man! Pictures aren’t impressive? If you did see the live performance, it is indeed impressive! imagine that he can squeeze himself through a tennis racket. Can you do that? But please don’t try this at home! LOL!

Which 1 is better? Black & White or the colored version? Personally, I prefer the Black & White.

This market’s theme is more to the conjunction of the Malaysia’s National Day celebration. I was late for the show because earlier, I was at the National Day Parade in Queensbay Mall in my previous post. Therefor, didn’t mange to take lots of pictures. These is all that I can take but I really did enjoyed the show.

Happy Merdeka Malaysia 2008! 51 years of age…

Malaysia celebrates its 51 years of independence. This is a wonderful country in its own unique ways. Although it’s own political scene has been nothing but a big joke, I still love this country, especially Penang, my homestate.

All these pictures taken below was held just outside Queensbay Mall. This is the first time that it held there. The usual place before there was held in Esplanade. Believe it or not, this is the 2nd time that I’ve attended a national day parade. The first time was when I was erm… too young to remember when…

Alright… just for your information, this event was held on 31st August 2008! I have too much backlogs to take care of. Will be posting more pictures soon. I’ve already taken care of all my backlogs and will start to publish more and more pictures.

Penang International Dragon Boat Race 2008

This was held a couple of months ago. This is an event held once every 2 years. It is a very exciting event as it is a lucrative race involving lots of countries all over the world. This is the first time that I attended this event and man, I was so fired up with their enthusiams! Even though that this is a race between clubs, but, all, each and everyone of them is so supportive even to their rivals that I myself wants to join them!

Below are some of the pictures that I took and I wish that I could’ve taken more. Enjoy them!

End note, this is a very interesting event. Unity, that’s the word that I can say about this event. Although it is a competition, all of them are very united. No matter that they are rivals or team mates, everybody there is like a huge family. No matter what country or race or religion or gender differences, they embrace each other and welcomes each other with open arms and open heart.

Remembering back this event gives me a great escape. Escaping my sadness from what my country’s politician is doing, harming the unity between different races. So clever that these so called politians are, they incite racial tensions for their own good benefits. It’s a long story, and also, I am not a good writer. I might not express myself correctly here, and also, writing something and posting up to the internet, I might get myself charged with seditious writing if “they” deemed that I did write something seditious. Also, politics is not my genre and I will never dwelve myself into that, unless if I am drunk and talking nonsense with a political concious groups of people.

Alright, I have swayed away from what I am suppose to do, to take beautiful, meaningful and impactful pictures! I will try to let my pictures do all the talking from now on… Enjoy!

Little Penang Street Market July 2008

It’s October now but now only manage to post up July’s pictures. Sad isn’t it. Too busy with sudden heavy wedding shoots recently. But anyways, these are the few pictures that I took during the market!

 

 

Georgetown, Penang has been listed!

Alright, a bit of a late posting. Too many backlogs to settle and I still have my day job to attend to! LOL!

Anyways, it’s a great day for the city to be listed as one of the Heritage Sites. It will sure put Penang into the tourism map. It will be a great awaraness campaign outside of the country. It’ll be a great recognition! Now that Penang will be a known heritage spot, hopefully that the state government will be able to upgrade the facilities here. Need not explain more of it, which I am sure that the state government will be doing a great job to upkeep the facilities and of course, to keep everything clean.

There you go! Not much but I had a great time taking these photos. Too bad that there was rain at around 5 something, otherwise, I think I would’ve been more productive. Before this, I was a proud Penangite, but now, I am even prouder to be Penangite! Congratulations Penang!
