Penang International Floral Festival Dec 2008

The Penang International Floral Festival was held on the month of December of 2008. Strange to me is that, in 1 year, there was 2 of them was held. I thought it was an annual thing but as I’ve posted before, there was a similar event during the middle of the year. But this time, the event was much bigger and was much publicized. As for the flowers, the varieties are there and the main attraction was the tram ride which unfortunately, I wasn’t able to ride on them due to the long queues! It was a hot day and there were lots of visitors but that does not stop me from taking pictures!

Need to warn you though… this post has a lot of pictures!

She’s a Jazz singer from Brazil. She’s got a powerful and sultry voice. I get the feeling of like erm, Brazilian party when she sang! Haha…

We are already in the year 2009 and yet… this is just the September 2008 series of the Little Penang Street Market shoots that I can manage to post.

She’s a salsa dancer, very graceful and yet powerful! She’s got the move and definitely got the hips to salsa! You have gotta be there to see her moves. She will mesmerize you in all her moves and her partner is as equally great.

Little Penang Street Market August 2008

Right right… it’s already November but now only posted August’s picture! As I’ve said before, gotten lots of backlogs because of the wedding shoots during the month of September. Will post the wedding pictures soon. Will be looking for own domain as well to manage the WordPress page! Now busy looking for templates to built up a new page! Crossing my fingers for it to implement soon.

Georgetown, Penang has been listed!

Alright, a bit of a late posting. Too many backlogs to settle and I still have my day job to attend to! LOL!

Anyways, it’s a great day for the city to be listed as one of the Heritage Sites. It will sure put Penang into the tourism map. It will be a great awaraness campaign outside of the country. It’ll be a great recognition! Now that Penang will be a known heritage spot, hopefully that the state government will be able to upgrade the facilities here. Need not explain more of it, which I am sure that the state government will be doing a great job to upkeep the facilities and of course, to keep everything clean.

Little Penang Street Market

This is a monthly event. It falls on the every last Sunday of the month. Venue will be at Upper Penang Road. Shows always starts at around 10AM but I rarely make it this early. It has got a lot of goodies there. As the name of the subject says, a Street Market! Lots of handicraft works selling there and as well as foods!

It has performance there by various groups of people. They do their presentation there without getting any money paid and they entertain the people there. It’s great looking at what they do and lots of these guys are very talented people!

It’s a great place to be and I only missed a couple times. On the last Sunday of the month, this is the place where I so look forward to be. To photograph the people, the great talented people who performed, the food, just about anything over there!
